Your students will learn about common types of investments with a focus on the stock market and investment funds, including mutual funds, ETFs, and index funds.
They’ll learn to apply real-world math skills while tracking stock performance, creating graphs, calculating rates of return, and more.

This bundle includes:
- Intro to Investing – This lesson will teach students the basics of investing, including the difference between saving and investing, average rates of return, diversifying, risk vs return, risk tolerance, and ten common types of investments.

- Stock Market Exploration – This activity gives students additional practice interpreting information about individual stocks, including ticker symbols, dividends, daily price changes, and more.
- Stock Market Calculations Practice – This lesson will help your students apply real-world math skills to the stock market. Topics include capital gains/losses, dividends, percent change, rate of return, and more.
- Stock Market Bingo Game – Practice basic stock market and investing vocabulary, calculating capital gains, percent change, rate of return, dividends, and more with this fun financial literacy bingo game!
- Understanding Investment Funds – This finance lesson will teach students the basics of investment funds, including how they function and the differences between mutual funds, ETFs, and index funds.
- Understanding the Rule of 72 – This investing lesson will teach students to apply the rule of 72 to estimate the time it will take for an investment to double to meet long-term savings and retirement goals.
- Saving for Retirement – This lesson will teach your students the foundations of investing and saving for retirement. They’ll learn the benefits of saving early, common types of retirement savings accounts, and more.
