This personal finance banking lesson will teach students everything they need to know about checking accounts, including their benefits, purpose, fees, writing checks, using a debit card, and more. They’ll also practice recording transactions using a transaction register and then reconciling their register with a realistic statement.

This lesson includes 2 Sets of Google Slides and a student packet with guided notes, student practice, realistic transaction registers, and checking account statements. Answer keys are also included.

Each part of this lesson will take approximately one 60-minute class period.
