Students will research real menu prices, then calculate tips, taxes, and card use fees to find the total cost of the meal.
Includes guided examples to reinforce the math skills needed to complete the activity, followed by four independent tasks that range from buying a fast-food meal on a budget to buying a meal for a family of four at a full-service restaurant.
Each of the four tasks can be viewed in the preview.
Students will need devices with internet access to complete this activity. Each task requires students to choose a restaurant and use its website to find the cost of menu items.
