Description

Teach students about the stock market with this easy prep financial literacy investing activity! This activity will introduce students to interpreting information about individual stocks, such as ticker symbols, dividends, daily price changes, and more.

In this activity, students will independently research individual stocks using a finance website. They’ll learn how to locate and interpret ticker symbols, current prices, high and low prices, dividends, and daily change. They’ll also apply real-world math skills as they calculate the cost of their investments.

Students will then be tasked with creating a basic investment plan for how they would invest $1,000.

This is a great introductory activity to use before having students try an online stock market simulator!
