Description
Perfect slope intercept form summer school or back to school algebra activity! Can also be used as classroom decor! Designs require students to write and graph equations of lines given two points, a point and a slope, etc. Includes 4 blank coordinate plane popsicles, 4 blank coordinate plane suns, and 8 designs that can be mixed and matched for 64 possible creations.
Students will choose one blank coordinate plane popsicle or sun and one set of design instructions. Each set of design instructions can be used with any of the 8 blank coordinate plane popsicles or suns. The design instructions will direct students to write 5 or 6 linear equations in slope intercept form to create a design on their coordinate plane. Students will then cut and color their creations.
Answer Key with all 8 designs is provided.
To complete this activity, students should know how to write the equation of a line in slope intercept form when given:
- A slope and y-intercept
- A slope and a point
- An equation in standard form
- Two points
Horizontal and vertical lines are also included.
Makes great summer classroom decor! Hang on a bulletin board, in a hallway, or on windows!
